Thanksgiving Feast at FOL

Today O's school had their annual Thanksgiving Feast and all of the families were invited. Before O's class headed to the feast, they made Indian hats and headed into the activity center. They had little tables all in a line for the kids to sit and eat during the meal. They served all of the traditional Thanksgiving items and had desserts galore! Daddy and Mimi slipped away from work and got to watch all of the entertainment. O was such a cutie with his little hat on.
Isn't my hat cool?

O at the head of the table...I'm sure he loved that!

Turkey, yum!
All of the kids eating lunch.

I thought O would take a long nap this afternoon after all of the excitement at school today, but it only lasted 30 minutes. We ran a few errands and then came back and had dinner. You could tell he had a short nap, because he looked so sleepy during dinner. He watched his little train video, got ready for bed, and went to sleep right away.
Such a sweet boy.

Happy Birthday Blaze!

On Saturday, we packed up our swim suits and beach towels and headed to the pool. Before you think I've completely lost my mind, we went to a birthday party for O's friend Blaze. It was at the indoor water park at the YWCA in Winston. O had a ball and absolutely loved the water. Perhaps it brought back memories of all the fun he had at the beach this summer. The kids enjoyed the water park, got changed, and ate yummy pizza and cake. Happy Birthday Blaze!

The waterpark was so much fun.

Musical Chair-a-thon

Last Wednesday O's school had a musical chair-a-thon. It's a fundraiser where donations go to make school improvements. To celebrate the finale, all of his class enjoyed a game of musical chairs. What fun. Even though they didn't realize what the game was about, they still had a great time.

Happy Birthday Mommy

Last Sunday I turned 32....Wow...I am getting old! Ha! Brent made this day extra special for me. On my birthday eve, Owen stayed with Brent's parents and we went to Concord Mills for some shopping and then had dinner at On the Border. It was perfect....we took our time...didn't have to chase a toddler around, and got to enjoy each other....I love Owen being with us...but it is nice to have a date night once in a while. We had a wonderful night....even stopped by SUPER Target...ohhhhh, how I wish we had one in Kernersville....Brent may not agree with me there ;-)

On my birthday, we got O and they made me feel so special all day long! Owen gave me so many birthday kisses and hugs. After we rested up, we went to the mall and then to Moe's that evening. On the way home from dinner....poor Owen threw up in the car....I mean really threw up in the car...I have never in my life seen such a mess! Poor thing was up all night....but was back to himself the next day. Even though the day didn't have the best ending, it was a great day with my family.

Mommy & O Visit the Children's Museum

On Friday morning, I decided to have a fun date with my favorite little man. O and I packed it up and headed to the Children's Museum in Greensboro. We all went the first time a couple of months ago to Ella Kate's birthday party and Owen absolutely loved it! Check out all the fun we had below.

Our Little Monkey

Happy Halloween everyone!!! This year Brent and I decided that we would dress O up like a monkey…we have always called him our little monkey, so why not? We figured this would probably be the last year that we would get to pick his costume, next year I am quite sure he will have a deciding factor on what to be…ha! This year, Mimi and Papa came over and we all piled in the Pilot and headed off for some trick or treating fun! We went to a few of our friends’ homes and then headed back into our neighborhood where Mimi and Papa took him to several homes in the wagon! They all had a ball!! Meanwhile, Brent and I got dinner fixed and then met up with them for some more trick or treating fun. After dinner, we ended up turning our lights on and giving out O’s candy….I mean really, how much candy can a 21 month old eat??….Brent and I did not need it, so we ended our night passing out what was left of O’s candy….the gift that keeps giving. Ha! What a fun day!

Our little monkey...so cute.

After all of the excitement.

O got a surprise on Sunday. Mimi and Papa knows about O's "slight" obsession with fire trucks, so they decided to give him one for Halloween. You should have seen his face...priceless.

We bought several pumpkins for our front porch, but unfortunately didn't get to carve any of them. So, we decided to decorate cup cakes instead. These were a few I came up with.
