3 Months Old!

Gray is now three months old!  It's hard to believe he is one fourth of the way through his first year!  Time needs to slow down a little.  He continues to change each month and his personality is definitely shining through more and more.

He is the happiest baby I have ever seen.  He just grins and laughs when he sees us.  He is very content in his bouncer when we're in the room with him.  He is becoming more and more aware of things and is trying to grab onto them.  Obviously it will be a little longer before he can grip things.

He coos, laughs, and talks in his own language a lot of the time.  He likes watching Owen play if they are in the same room.  He is still a big fan of bathtime.  He is getting settled into more of a routine.  He usually takes a good morning nap and then a good afternoon when we're at home.  If we are on the go that day, he usually just naps in his carrier or in the stroller.

At night, he sometimes still gets a little fussy, but usually goes to sleep pretty quickly.  Over the last month, he is sleeping on average about 6-7 hours straight.  We're still working towards the 10-12 hour goal!  Overall he is a very happy and easy baby at this point.

Happy Birthday, America!

Each year, our town has a Fourth of July Parade through Downtown.  Last year was the first year we went and Owen had the BEST time.  It is really fun and has lots of tractors, firetrucks, and old trucks/cars.  They also throw out candy.  We decided to take the boys and meet up with the Meadors this year.  Like last year, it didn't disappoint.  I got there super-early to get us all of spot in the shade (it gets really crowded) then the Meadors arrived and Brent got there with the boys.  I don't know what it is about parades, but they make you feel like a kid again.  That was the extent of our patriotic celebration.  Glad we live in this great country!

Triad Baptist VBS

I recently blogged about how much fun Owen had at his preschool's VBS, so he was really excited about the one we were having at our church.  It was his first year there too.  The theme was Amazing Wonders Aviation and they had lots of airplanes and the kids 'traveled' to different destinations.  They even had a big airplane out in the parking lot (homemade of course) and each class got to take a ride on it (pulled by a tractor of course).

I think Owen enjoyed the tractor as much as sitting in the plane!

He did great and was so excited about the music they had.  We bought him the CD and it's so funny to hear him sing the songs and do the hand movements.  His favorite is Counting on God.  Brent and I would listen to him while he was laying in his bed at night.  He was in there just singing his little heart out to this song.  So precious!  Glad our little guy loved VBS this year.

Two of Our Favorites!

If you know us pretty well, you'll know that we are big fans of Chick fil A.  Each year, they have Cow Appreciation Day where if you dress up in a cow costume, you get a free meal.  Last year, O and I dressed up (Brent came with us, but didn't want to dress up) and it was a lot of fun.  Owen was really excited about it again this year, and we decided to make it a family affair this year.

Krispy Kreme celebrated its 75th Anniversary this year and had a big celebration open to the public at Old Salem.  They had quite the show going on...free doughnuts, bounce houses, rides for the kids...it was a lot of fun and a lot of people!  We met some friends there and we all had a great time.
