Happy Valentine's Day!!

O's preschool class had a Valentine's Day party on February 13th. O is a huge fan of Diego, and Dora too for that matter, so I was so happy when I found Diego and Dora Valentine's Day cards. (We searched for Thomas, but could not find them anywhere!??) They were super-cute and also had a piece of candy that went with each one. Owen got so much candy from school....boy did he and this preggo lady have a large time picking through it :-)

All of the kids had a good time, and I'm not sure if it was all of the sugar and candy, but things were a little chaotic towards the end!! I was glad that O had a good time.

On the 14th, it was pretty routine for us, dinner at home with special cupcakes and then a couple of presents afterwards. Happy Valentine's Day!!

Owen was super excited to get a Diego video from Mimi and Papa as well as a Chick Fil A gift card from Gramps and Grammy!!!

Pregnancy Neglect!

I feel like I have completely neglected updating everyone on my pregnancy this go around....I remember with Owen, I could tell you at any given point how many weeks, hours, even minutes that I was....this time, to be honest, I have to check my time clicker on my blog to make sure I am correct! ha! I am currently 32 weeks....horray for 5 weeks until being full term!!

With Owen, I took weekly pictures and I could tell you how long and how much he weighed and I could also tell you what fruit/vegetable he compared to in size...I spent many evenings combing through pregnancy books, reviewing my registry online, and going to birthing and breastfeeding classes!!! Date nights were often spent at Babies R Us...and the funny thing is this go around, I've only been there once...and did not purchase a thing!

Nowadays, I am chasing around a very active 3 year old, preparing him to be a big brother, keeping up with his daily activities, and most evenings are spent on the couch with my legs up dosing in and out.  More recently, I have been.combing through baby names website to try to come to some sort of an agreement on what we are going to name baby #2, and making a list of what all needs to be done before D day.!

Nevertheless, we are super-excited and feel very blessed to be welcoming a new addition to our family.  Our due date is around April 10th....however, I have speculations that he will be born in late March...Dr. Ross doesn't think that I will make it into April. Of course, I was told that with Owen and was over a week late....whew! Whatever the date may be, we continue to pray for a healthy delivery and baby!  It is so hard to believe that we will be a family of 4 in seven or so weeks! How exciting and wow...so much to do!!!

Big Brother in training!!! He is so excited!

Look Who's 3!!

It is so hard to believe our sweet little boy is now three years old!  Where has the time gone?  Seriously, it just seems like it wasn't that long ago that we brought him home from the hospital.  It has been so amazing to watch him grow and develop into the sweet amazing kiddo he has become.  His little personality is so animated, his cute little expressions crack us up all the time and his imagination is so creative these days.

This year, O was really excited about his birthday and talked about it a couple of weeks leading up to the big day.  He would hold up three fingers and say he was going to be three and everyone was going to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him.  His birthday was on Wednesday, which was a school day for him, so they had a little party for him.  That evening, we enjoyed a nice quiet family dinner and he opened his presents afterwards.  He was so excited and it made us happy to see him enjoy the day so much.

The day after his birthday, we met Mimi/Papa and Uncle Kev/Aunt Kel for dinner at one of O's favorite places...Don Juan's.  We asked O where he wanted to go and he said he wanted a cheese quesadilla at Don Juan's.  We had the staff sing happy birthday to him and he even let them put the sabarro on his head for a brief period.  He loved his dinner and we all enjoyed some of his Thomas cake afterwards.  Unfortunately, my parents were unable to join us since my Dad had surgery the day before.  Glad he is doing well and we are wishing him a speedy recovery.

Owen, you have brought so much happiness and joy into our lives over the last three years.  Happy Birthday to our sweet little guy.  We love you!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

On January 2nd, we celebrated Brent's 33rd birthday!  He was off work on that day, so we just enjoyed a low-key day at home and I fixed his favorite dinner for him, lasagna.  Yummy!

I am so thankful that O has such a great role model to look up to and I am lucky as well to be married to a wonderful man.

Happy Birthday!!  We love you!!

Big Brother = Big Boy Room

O has always loved his bedroom, especially his crib.  From the second week of his life until now, he has been happy and content sleeping his little heart away in his room.  With a new baby on the way and the fact that O is three, we felt it was only fair and time to move O into our guest bedroom, which would give him so much more room.  While we were at it, we figured we would go ahead and take the plunge and convert his crib into a full-size bed.

We really talked it up to him, ordered him some new curtains, got him some bedding from Pottery Barn Kids, ordered him a new mattress set and viola it he was all set to go.  We also got him a special Thomas pillow to help make it extra cozy.

It just so happened, we got everything done on New Year's Eve.  You should have seen his eyes when he saw his new room, he was so excited and it was so priceless to us.

So while we were bringing in the new year, O was happily snoozing in his new room.  So glad our little guy loved his new room..

Christmas Day at Gramps & Grammy's

After we spent the morning at home, we packed up everything and headed to R-ville to have lunch and open presents with my family.  We got there and O got to spend a little time with some of his family that he doesn't see very often.

We were joined by Edmund, Makayla, Uncle Johnny, Aunt Sally, Grandma, and my parents.  We had a delicious brunch and after we were all stuffed, we opened presents.

Again, O was all about opening his presents.  He likes to take his time and check each one out before moving on the the next.  He really loved all of his presents and we had a great time.

After we were finished, we headed back home.  We spent the rest of the day at home playing with our new things.  It is hard to believe last year it snowed on Christmas Day.  We were truly blessed this Christmas season.

Christmas Day

With all of the excitement on Christmas Eve, O slept a little later on Christmas Day.  He usually gets up around 7:30, but today he woke up close to 8.

We were already downstairs and we couldn't wait to see his face when he headed down stairs to see what Santa brought him.  He immediately went to the tree and we started opening presents.  He was really excited about his presents.

After he played with some his toys a while, he had a Frosty dounut from Krispy Kreme.  Yummy and really healthy, right?  He played with his toys a little bit longer and then we got ready and headed back to R-ville to have brunch with my family.

Christmas morning is such a blast with a small child.  Can't wait to see what next year brings with two kids!  Happy Birthday Jesus!
