Hide and Seek

One of Owen's all time favorite games is Hide and Seek! He loves it and cracks himself up with this game. He loves to run up to me and announce that he is "going to hide" and takes off....if I don't come right away to find him he yells "mommy mommy" and peaks around the corner....so cute and funny! This is his latest favorite place to hide....sneaky little thing! I guess he thought I would never find him....of course, I do a lot of pretending that I don't see him in this cute and fun game!

Random February Shots!

Wow! Where did February go? It has been a busy, sick, and fun month (if it is possible to combine all three)! It started off with our entire family getting a sore throat/cold and two weeks after that, we all ended up with a terrible stomach bug, which we hope and pray doesn't come back in our house for a long time! We have become quite obsessed with hand sanitizer, wipes, vitamins, and pediasure in hopes not to get sick again…or for at least a while. Poor Owen lost 4lbs since his Nov checkup b/c of all the sickness!! He is doing much better thanks to pediasure, peanut butter, avocados, whole milk….etc….we hope he can gain it all back and more :)

I don’t know about you but we are ready for springtime!!! We can’t wait to get outside more, fire up the grill, and enjoy the beautiful flowers and all of the blooming that takes place in the spring! Time to dust off the camera and take some more pics…February was just not a Kodak moment for us! Here are a few random pictures taken throughout the month! Happy March ya’ll!

My snuggle bug, we did lots of snuggling this month. When Owen is under the weather he becomes a super snuggler...not that we enjoy spreading all the germs, but it's something that mama's just have to do! Ha

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!! Owen had a little party at his school...so cute! They had cookies, fruit, goldfish, and crackers....they all exchanged Valentines and his teacher fixed all the kids a cute little goodie bag. All the kids had a blast! They danced to music, ate cookies, and chased each other around....just like 2 year olds do!! What a fun day! After school, Owen opened cards from us and his grandparents!! He loves opening presents and cards...he has become a pro at it with all the birthday and Christmas festivities. Valentine's Day is a fun day!! A perfect day to eat candy and chocolate, make cards, bake cookies, and remind us how much we love one another!!! Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Play dough

Owen loves loves loves play dough!!! He loves to build snowmen (add hair, arms, eyes, legs, etc to them), fire trucks, trains, stars, trucks, and circles. Lately we have been doing a lot of play dough....he is not a big TV watcher so it is a great activity for him to do while I am fixing dinner! We have tried to get him into watching Sesame Street, Max and Ruby Yo Gabba Gabba...etc...but nothing will do....he watches it for maybe 1 min max and then he is off to something else! He is a very hands on child....loves art, puzzles, books, trains, blocks, play dough, stacking anything, feeding his friends, grilling out on his grill, playing hide and seek, painting, dancing,and playing outside. Anything that requires him to stay still for an extended amount of time you can just about forget it! ha! He is so funny and so busy...his imagination is always running! At the end of the day I have to be quite honest, I am ready to go to bed when he does! ha! Anyway...love this age and I love how his vocabulary and imagination expand everyday!

Celebrating the Big 2!

Over the past two weeks, we have really celebrated Owen's 2nd birthday. We went out to Ham's on his birthday, cupcakes several times throughout the week with friends and family that stopped by for a mini-birthday party, and his fire truck birthday party that we had last Friday!!! He loved his birthday and loved having all of his friends over...what a wonderful time we all had! I gave Owen the choice of what kind of cake he wanted....every time he gave me the same answer....fire truck...so fire truck cakes is what he had times 2!!! We had a family birthday party planned, however my dad was hospitalized for 6 days and we had to change our plans. Thank God he is at home and feeling much better! Here are a few pics of the celebrations over the course of the past 2 weeks!!! Happy 2nd Birthday sweet Owen, we love you so much!
